P�ir. and Tc1rs. Stenberg, o��vners of S��,ndy Beach Resort, re-
.�ested Council action on t�ie matter of the non-conforming use
-�atus of the resort property. Council discussed various ways of
,_� �lving the proble�, inc]_uding the advisability of a special use
�rmit, the extension of the non-confor�ing use discontinuance
'�:�:te provided by paragraph 30.Og0 of the l�7unicipal Code or re-
zoning the property comrnercial. Franzel moved to hold a public
hearing on the question of rezoning the property to co:�mercial on
February 3, 1g64 at 8 P.T�2, and to direct the Administrator to
publish notice of the ,nearin�; in the official ne�vspaper �,nd to
mail notice to property owners in trie irnrnediate neighborhood, and,
further, to ask the Plannin� Commission for a recommendation on
the ��ecific qt:estio�� of ze:%,onin�T to cn�mercial. The motion ��r�s

Franzel pointed out that in the past :�:;:��e norl-��rol'_� �
organizations had been granted partial or total ivaiver of build- �
ing permit fees and that this practice is not consistent with
the present building code. Council agreed that hereafter the
building permit fee provisions of the building code will be
follovJed in all cases.
