a special permit or license for an operation of this type. The

Franzel moved to appoint PfTr. A. K. Simonson to t:e ��l��r_ni�_::;
Commission for a terr� expiring January 1966 pursuant to
Ordinance Number 50. The motion was seconded by Bagley and �
carried.

The Mayor read a letter of resignation received from T,Ir.
0. E. Johnson, Village Tre�.surer. Mr. Johnson asked t:ne Council
accept his resignation effective Decer�ber 31, 1963.
Bagley moved that it be resolved and there be spread on t:���
minutes of this meetin� a unanimous vote of thanks and appre- �
ciation on behalf of the Citizens of Orono to P�Tr. Johnson fcr
his long and loyal service to this community, further th�.t t=:.i.; �

tendered. The motion was seconded by Searles and carriec

unanimously.
t�PPOINTPvTENT OF TREASURER
Franzel r�oved to appoint Sidney B. Belt Treasurer effectiv�e
J�.nuary l, 1964 and further to approve the action by 0. �. Johnson,
Treasurer, appointing T��r. Belt deputy Treasurer through December
31, 1963. The r�otion �vau seconded by Bagley and carried.
