Rule -wetland.pdf;20160809_120141 jpg
Hello,
MCWD inspected your project at 1070 Hunter Drive on both 8/9/16 and yesterday,8/18/16 and noticed a wetland
buffer issue. The construction entrance and silt fences look great on site, however there must have been a past silt fence
blow-out near the entrance. There is a significant amount of sediment in the wetland buffer that is close to the wetland.
I would like to remind you that sediment cannot go into the wetland buffer or the wetland during construction. No
disturbance can occur in either the wetland or wetland bufFer. Please be sure to check the site prior to rain events to
ensure the perimeter control is functioning, and will adequately handle the rain event.
It also looks like the wetland buffer vegetation has been mowed. This is not allowed per MCWD's Wetland Protection
Rule 7(a). Please see the attached rule and pictures.
Thank you,
Lauren Sampedro
Lead District Representative
Minnehaha Creek Watershed District
15320 Minnetonka Blvd
Minnetonka, MN 55345
952-641-4580
#MMNEMAA CREEK
M/AfLffNRO 006Fl11;1
1
