Good afternoon Christine,
I hope all is well.
In addition to my latest inquiry regarding my options for the two wetland properties in Orono. I wanted to ask
about a fire lane in my neighborhood.
On the street of Highwood Road 55364, there are two fire lanes permitting access to the lake for our
neighborhood. The one in particular that caught my attention is directly across the street from my house -- ID #:
32, Highwood Lane Extension, Plat section 7-S -- I was hoping it would be possible to purchase this piece of
property from the city.
I've noticed many unused fire lanes have been sold all around the lake over the years and this purchase would
not only provide my home with a higher value (good for the city) but also not take away anything from my
neighbors being that here is a second fire lane on the same street in the same neighborhood.
My plan would be to dress up the property and make it look like it is being taken care of both from the street
and the lake.
