Dear Mr. & Mrs. Reilly:
An inspection of your septic system was conducted on June 6, 2000. A summary of the inspection is
belov.
Septic Tank Condition
1. Pumpout not needed at this time.
The septic system is non-compliant due to a lack of a three foot separation distance between the bottom
of the drainfield to the seasonally highvatertable. The three foot requirement is a State Code, not a City
Code. A soil boring vas conducted to determine the depth of the seasonally watertable. The septic
system must be replaced no later than December 31, 2010.
Enclosed is a list of state licensed septic contractors who work in Orono on a regular basis. Also
enclosed is a fact sheet elplaining how a septic system functions properly. Finally, an as-built drawing
is enclosed that shows the approximate location of the septic system.
Ifou have any questions regarding this report, please contact me at the City Offices at 249-4600.
