Dear Ms. Flessner:
This letter is to confirm that many of the pine trees adjacent to Heritage Lane, across from your
property, are on the public road right-of-way, and so are the responsibility of the City to
maintain. The City has sent a letter to Xcel Energy regarding the removal of the dead trees. If,
as you indicated in our conversation, Xcel Energy will only agree to top the trees to get them out
of the power lines, the City will request that the trees be topped. Then the City will remove the
dead trees. The timing of the removal will depend on Xcel Energy's timing. Once the trees are
topped, the City can remove them within a couple of weeks.
