Immediately after we talked I called Mark Gronberg to contact you regarding the survey. Eric Smith, our tenant will remove the survey stakes along the north 75 foot easement boundary line including the 4 white markers. Erosion Products LLC, St. Boifacius, MN. recommended for our application Excel PP 5-10 a permanent green turf reinforcement blanket which we purchased in Sept. and had delivered to our property. The Excel PP 5-10 allows vegetation to grow through it while protecting and stabilizing severe slops from erosion. In Sept., I contracted and paid one of our contractors to install the Excel PP5-10 erosion blanket. I just learned that this project has not be started, and is supposed to be installed and completed by Nov. 18, 2016. I received the information from your surveyor as requested. In order to issue this permit I will need you to send a check for $100 to the City ($50 permit + $50 after-the-fact fee). In the spring, I will be able to close this permit out once the property is inspection and the vegetation establishment has been verified (i.e. the seed planted by either Eric Smith, or Erosion Products in November). I just wanted to update you that I stopped out to take a look at the vegetation growth along the work area of the easement. I was hoping to find that the vegetation had completely taken hold and that I could close your permit. See the attached photos. I observed that the planted seed had grown. However in order to close the permit file we require at least 75%growth; in my opinion we have 50-60%at best in some areas. I plan to revisit the site later this summer(probably mid-July). I recommend putting some additional seed down to increase the density of the vegetation. If you have questions for me please reach out.
