2345 Glendale Cove Lane
The City of Orono is in receipt of an As-Built Survey dated 1010/2014 for the new home
construction on the above referenced property. Following receipt of this information, an on-site
inspection was conducted by the City's contract engineer at which time it was determined that
retaining walls were added to the site which were not shown upon the approved site plan.
Upon further review of the retaining walls on the as-built survey, it appears that part of the
constructed retaining wall on the north side of the house was partially constructed in a drainage
and utility easement and below the minimum 5 ft. side property line non-encroachment retaining
wall setback according to Section 78-1405 of the City of Orono Zoning Ordinance.
Please relocate the retaining wall to eliminate the encroachment into the easement and which
meets the required 5 ft. setback prior to issuance of an occupancy permit.
The above information is required in order for the plan review to continue. Please feel free to

I performed a site inspection regarding the Asbuilt survey for 2345 Glendale Cove today. Walls have been added that
were not on the approved plan, but they are not 4' or greater in height. The site has been permanently stabilized. If you
