Following up on your phone call from last week-
According the National Flood Insurance Program Map (Map Number 27053C0304E), copy attached,the property
addressed 2465 French Lake Road may or may not be located within Zone A. Zone A has a 1%annual chance of flooding
(formerly called "100-year flood"). Zone A does not have a base flood elevation identified. However,the City recently
worked with a landowner on French Lake and by coordinating with the DNR and the MCWD it was determined that
French Lake has a 1%chance of flooding elevation consistent with Lake Minnetonka which is 931.5'.
It is our understanding that flood insurance must be purchased. If the property owner desires, they can submit
documentation to FEMA to prove the house location is outside of the area within a 1%change of flooding. An updated
survey of the property wi�l need to be completed, including showing lowest floor and lowest opening elevations and
spot elevations at each corner of the structure(s).
