A Compliance Inspection was completed for the �xisting on-site sewage treatmenfi
system located on this property. The system consists of 1 650 gallon trash trap, 1 750
gallon Multi-Flo Wastew�ter Treatment System, 1 1250 gallon pumping chamber & a
t�ench system with 300 lin.ft., 900 sq.fk. In September of 1997 the exisfiing trench
system was hydraulically overloaded whichq may have been caused from an iron filter
that has been removed. A Multi-Flo Unit w�s added fio the system to rehab the existing
trenches. The system showed na signs of hydraulic overloading 3 months after the
installatian. The Mul#i-Flo is being serviced 2 times a year at a cost of$180.00 a year
(2011 price) by Schirmers W2�sfiewater Treatment Systems, Inc. 763-497-3566.
Soil borings #1 & 2 found no moitled soil (r�dox features) to a depth of 78", etev. 949,5
8� 950.7, The bottom of the lowest firench was found afi elev, 954.2. This system meefis
a 3.5'� separation from fihe bottom of the trenches &the mottled soil 8� is classifiied as
in compliance with Minnesota Chapter 7080 rules. The tanks were pumped on 6-14�11
hy Elmer J, peterson Co. &were found to be water tight & compliant.
Nothing other than human waste, toilet tissue, laundry, showers, water softener etc.
should be disposed of infio the s�ptic tanks. Iron filters musfi be diverted out of the
system. Recommend to divert the water softner also. Garbage disposals are not
r�commended, due fio adding more solids &fine so(ids passing through to the sysfiem.
Excessive amnunts of'soaps, anti-bacterial soaps, cleaning agents, shower cleaners
used�e�rery shower & chlorine agenfis may kill the bacteria needed to treat septic
efflu�rit. ,A�ditives are not recommended. l�he trash trap, Multi-Flo and pumping
chamber will need to be pumped out when t6�e sefiable solids reach 50% in the unit,
This wi�� b� detefrrtined at the time of#he services. Laundering should be lirnited to 3 0�
4 loads per day instead of hydraulically overloading the system with many loads a day.
This Certificate of Compliance is no guarant+ee that this system will continue to function
indefinitely.

You had inquired if it was possible to construct a pool on the property addressed at 1300 French Creek Drive
which is located in the RR-1 B zoning district. Attached is a copy of the survey on file 10/23/1987 which shows
the proposed home prior to construction.
Without additional information the City is unable to determine if construction of a pool on this property will meet
zoning code requirements. Attached is the City's information sheet on swimming poois and hot tubs which
includes the setbacks.
Septic System
The property currently has a septic system. Submittal of a pool permit application requires an alternate septic
site be identified, should the current system fail. Attached is a copy, not to scale, of the current septic location
and tanks.
Drainage Easement
The property contains a drainage easement. No construction is allowed in a drainage easement.
Wetland
Our wetland maps show a Manage 3 wetland on the property, which may or may not coincide with the
drainage easement. A wetland delineation must be done to determine the wetland edge. A Manage 3 wet�and
requires a 16.5' buffer, plus a 20' structure setback.
Hardcover
The property is located within our Shoreland District. A Hardcover Information sheet and Hardcover
Calculation sheet are attached. Hardcover calculations must be completed by a registered land surveyor.
