Dear Members of Girl Scout Troops 1210 an� 1900:
On behalf of the Orono Park Commission, I am pleased to inform you that your group has been
selected as a recipient of the Fnends of the Parks award. This award has been established by
the City of Orono to be given to an individual or group who volunteer their time and effort on
behalf of Orono's parks. You have been chosen as a recipient for your dedicated work over
these last two years in preparing French Creek Preserve for the grand opening this past spring.
Your involvement in the Preserve benefits the community by providing for education and
enjoyment of this natural area.
In recognition of your volunteer work, the Orono City Council and the Park Comznission would
like to honor you at a reception on Monday, November 6, 1995 at 7:OG p.m. at the Orono
Council Chambers. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact John Gerhardson at
