, � <br /> � MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> Tuesday,May 28,2013 <br /> 7:00 o'clock p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> The Orono City Council met on the above-mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor <br /> Lili Tod McMillan, Council Members Cynthia Bremer,Aaron Printup, Lizz Levang, and Kristi Anderson. <br /> Representing Staff were City Administrator Jessica Loftus,Assistant City Administrator for Long-Term <br /> Strategic Planning Michael Gaffron, Planning Coordinator Melanie Curtis,Finance Director Ron Olson, <br /> City Attorney Soren Mattick,Public Works Director/City Engineer Jesse Struve, and Recorder Jackie <br /> Young. <br /> Mayor McMillan called the meeting to order at 7:03 o'clock p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> Item Nos. 6 through 9 were added to the Consent Agenda. Item No. 2 was removed from the Consent <br /> Agenda. <br /> Anderson moved,Printup seconded,to approve the Consent Agenda as revised. VOTE: Ayes 5, <br /> Nays 0. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> 2. REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF MAY 13,2013 <br /> McMillan requested the minutes be corrected to read on Page 23,Paragraph 5,as follows: "The 13 <br /> percent increase in expenditures would increase it from 581,000 to 588,000,"and on Page 25, Paragraph <br /> 2, "McMillan stated she personally does not have much information about living with zebra mussels..." <br /> Levang moved,Printup seconded,to approve the minutes of the Orono City Council meeting of <br /> May 13,2013,as revised. VOTE: Ayes 5,Nays 0. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS—JOHN THIESSE,REPRESENTATIVE <br /> Thiesse stated he had nothing to report but would be available for questions. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> None <br /> PLANNING DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> 3. #13-3596 CITY OF ORONO—ACCESSORY USES AND STRUCTURES—ZONING <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br /> Gaffron noted the City Council reviewed this item at their May 13`�'meeting. Comments and suggestions <br /> from that review had been incorporated into the fifth draft,followed by additional input from the City <br /> Attorney, which has resulted in a number of refinements reflected in the sixth draft provided for City <br /> Council review this evening. <br /> Page 1 of 18 <br />
