In November 2004 the DeVries' <br /> purchased 3125 Fox Street in Orono. They proposed to do some remodeling work on the <br /> existing house on the property. Jeff Nelson of Lind Nelson Construction, Inc., their building <br /> contractor, made application to the MCWD for an erosion control pe�mit under your Rule B. I <br /> enclose a copy of their application dated November 17, 2004. As you can see there are some <br /> additional marks alongside "dredging" and "wetland land alteration" in Section 4, but there is no <br /> dredging work proposed nor is there any wetland alteration work proposed. Subsequently the <br /> DeVries' application was processed by Renae Clark and she communicated with the DeVries via <br /> a letter dated December 17, 2004 with enclosures. Somehow Renae Clark �ot going down the <br /> road that Rule D, Wetland Protection, applied to this site. The purpose of this letter is to explain <br /> to you that that is not correct. <br /> The DeVries' understand that Rule B, Erosion Control, applies to their remodeling work <br /> because the additions they propose to make to the existing house will involve dig�ing footin�s <br /> Doc# 19G3-199\I <br />
