The plan is dated 8-6-09. We have the following comments with regards to engineering matters: • The current plan shows a maximum grade of 12.87% on the driveway with a 25'landing area at 3% at Fox Street. The city generally recommends a maximum 10% driveway slope and a landing area of at least 50'at 2%. It appears that in order to construct a driveway that meets the City recommendations, extensive tree removal will be necessary. The proposed driveway grades appear to be a reasonable compromise to minimize tree loss. .� • Erosion and Sediment Control BMPs should be shown on the plan and should conform to Orono City Standard Details. • Engineered design and details should be submitted for review for all retaining walls over 4' in height. • Based on a 30 MPH posted speed limit, the sight distance for the proposed driveway location appears to be acceptable. MONTHLY BILLING. As the City receives consultant bills for incurred costs, the City will in turn send a bill to the Owners.
