- 1700 Fox St.
- Excavation of>500 cubic yards to create pond.
- On February 9, 2000, I was conducting an inspection at 1820 Fox St. During this
inspection, I noted a large excavation to the rear of the detached garage. I noted a large
backhoe filling trucks that were carrying the soil off site. I called the office to see if there
were approvals for this work. I was unable to get an immediate answer so I continued on
to my next scheduled inspection. After completing the inspections, I returned to the
office. I found there was no permit or approvals for the work. I was under the
assumption that the work was on the 1820 Fox St. property so I contacted the contractor
working there. He said he had no knowledge of the work and indicated it may be on an
adjacent property. I returned to the site to stop the work; however, by the time I arrived,
the work was completed and the equipment was gone. Due to staff shortages, I was
unable to follow-up until Monday, February 14, 2000. At that time, I sent Chris Pence to
the site to take photos and follow-up.
