The temporary CO for 2750 Casco Point Road was issued on August 29th with a list of items to be completed by Oct 1 for issuance of the final CO. One of the issues which remains outstanding is the removal of the sediment within the stormwater pipe which inlets on the Atlas Homes'site at 3800 Casco Ave and terminates in the ditch across the road. Lauren Sampedro with the MCWD discussed this with you. The sediment within the pipe is the result of the Charles Cudd project on 2750 Casco Point Road. The cleaning of the pipe and removal of the sediment from the ditch/creek(which drains to the lake) is a requirement of your final CO for this project. The City and/or the MCWD will inspect the pipe on or after Monday, October 3d to verify compliance. Once cleaned and determined to be acceptable by the City/MCWD we can close out the 2750 Casco Point Road permit; Atlas Homes will then assume responsibility moving forward. The City will continue to hold the final CO and the $10,000 escrow until all items are completed. We are also waiting for an as-built survey to be submitted. Please let me know if you have any questions. Please be advised, once Charles Cudd cleans the storm drain pipe and the City approves the final result, Atlas homes will then be responsible for protecting the drain. A suggestion I can offer would be to completely re-do the erosion control measures around the drain to incorporate some hay bales and new trenched in fencing or newly placed biorolls. If you have questions on solutions moving forward please contact me or Terrence Chastan-Davis with the MCWD (copied).
