Dear Mr. and Mrs. Phelps:
The City of Orono has just received a letter dated November 15, 1999 stating your intent to
connect to the municipal sewer system when that connection becomes available.
This letter is allowing construction on the above described property without replacing the septic
system due to the fact municipal sewer will become available and your letter of intent stating you
will connect to the municipal sewer when it becomes available.
Please contact the Orono Building Department for the other requirements for a building permit at
249-4600. Thank you for your prompt attention regarding this matter.

Please consider this letter as our formal intention to connect our
home, 1950 Fox Ridge Road, to the new city sewer system as soon
as the project is completed. Ellen spoke to you last week about our
plans to add on to our home. She said you needed a letter from me
confirming our desire to hook up to city sewer in order for you to draft
a letter approving our addition.
Please let me know if there is anything else you need from us that will
make our application for a construction permit a simple and
straightforward task.
