Ok, a floodplain permit will be needed for the removal of the footings.Attached is the permit application. Please display
on a site survey where the erosion control measures will be on the lakeside,the final stabilization method, and indicate
an estimate of the cut and fill from the concrete footing removal. For the in-kind replacement,the cut and fill should be
equal, resulting in zero change to the floodplain.

We're replacing the deck which sits on concrete footings within 25 feet of the shoreline.
The footings are drilled round footings. We would install erosion control lakeside of the
work. Is a permit required beyond our normal erosion control permit?

We received an updated survey dated 12-15-2015, thank you. Some of our origina) comments were not
addressed. Please have the survey updated to reflect the following:
• Show the average lakeshore setback line. Please note any increase of the existing grade and/or
combination of grade and walls greater than 42" forward of the average lakeshore setback will require
a variance.
• Show the dimensions of the lakeside deck on the survey and submit building plans for the in-kind
replacement of the deck for our review.
• Show the new silt fence location for the construction of the stairs and re-building of the lakeside
deck. Contact the MCWD to discuss the change in your plans.
• Show proposed grading and elevations for new lakeside stone steps.
Please have the landscaper submit a plan with a cross-section for the lakeside stone step construction.
In reviewing the hardcover calculations, please revise as follows:
