Wayzata, MN 55391 Dear Mr. & Mrs. Bastiaens: I am writing in regards to the above addressed property, tax parcel 36-118-23-11-0003. On June 23, 2003 you were granted a conditional use permit to allow the "guest"house on the property to remain for a period of two years. This allowed period of time expired last June and the building remains yet today. The City of Orono will now require that the guest house and garage be torn down and removed, the driveway taken up and removed with the entrance to Ferndale discontinued, and the septic system serving the guest house be pumped out, lids crushed and the tanks backfilled with dirt. These were conditions placed on your conditional use permit for the guest house when granted by the Orono City Council. The demolition and removal of the above mentioned items are to be accomplished by June 30, 2006. This will have given you one full year to comply with the conditions set forth. If the work has not been completed by June 30, 2006 the City of Orono will arrange for the required work to be done and recover the costs from you or assess the property in order to recover the costs, as the City determines is in its best interests.
