1 <br />1 <br />'msµ <br />-� MINUTES -OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD AUGUST-11, 1986 <br />ATTENDANCE 7:04 P.M. _ <br />The _O-rono Council met on the above date with the <br />following members present: Mayor Butler, Councilmember <br />Adams and Frahm. Councilmember Grabek was absent. <br />Councilmember to be appointed, Edward Callahan was also <br />present. The following represented the City staff: <br />Acting City Administrator and Public Works Coordinator <br />Gerhardson, Building and Zoning Administrator Mabusth, <br />City Clerk Hallin, and City Recorder Peterson. Also <br />present were City Attorney Barrett and City Engineer <br />Cook. <br />CONSENT AGENDA* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by <br />Councilmember Adams, to approve the Consent Agenda* <br />subject to removal of Item #3 Approval of July 28, 1986 <br />Minutes (per Mayor Butler's request). Motion, Ayes 3, <br />Nays 0. <br />OATH OF OFFICE - COUNCILMEMBER <br />City Clerk Hallin administered the Oath of Office <br />swearing in Edward Callahan as Councilmember. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Mayor Butler stated she would like to amend the wording <br />under NOERENBERG PARK DEVELOPMENT as follows: <br />"It was moved by Councilmember Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Adams, to approve the City's revised <br />grading plan and send the parking plan back to <br />Hennepin Park District for re- design. Motion, Ayes <br />3, Nays 0." <br />Also under NOERENBERG PARK DEVELOPMENT, Councilmember <br />Adams stated that his comments were not stated correctly <br />and wished to have them amended to read: <br />"Councilmember Adams stated that the design for the <br />parking lot should be for 26 cars and should be well <br />screened from the neighbors." <br />Under TONKA TRANSMISSION, Mayor Butler re- drafted as <br />follows: <br />"City Administrator Bernhardson reported on <br />discussions with Craig Olson and the following <br />options were considered: 1) staying at the existing <br />10 car limit with a conditional use permit and <br />retain the pump island and use of gas tanks; 2) if <br />additional parking slots are desired (14 slots), the <br />pump island is to be removed with the tanks or <br />replaced in another location. Staff recommends that <br />the City work with Mr. Olson to get the 14 total <br />spots in exchange for removal of the pump island and <br />tanks." <br />1 <br />
