HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 3035CITYof ORONO RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL NO. 3035 A RESOLTTION DESIGNATING A PROJECT REPRESENTATIVE AND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF A CLEAN WATER PARTNERSHIP GRANT APPLICATION FOR LONG LAKE, HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA WHEREAS, concerns have been identified regarding the water quality of Long Lake and any existing or potential impacts on lake resources and lake use; and, WHEREAS, the City of Orono wishes to implement appropriate actions to restore or protect the water quality of Long Lake, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Orono that it hereby agrees to provide in-kind services for the Long Lake Phase II Implementation Project in the form of participation in a public ® information/education committee; and designates Loren Larson of James M. Montgomery, Consulting Engineers, Inc. as the Project Representative for the Long Lake Implementation project's proposed Clean Water Partnership Phase II project Implementation Plan. The value of the above stated in-kind services is estimated to total $18,500.00 for the five year project duration. The Project Representative shall have the authority to represent the City of Orono in all matters that do not specifically require action by the City Council. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) shall direct Clean Water Partnership Application correspondence and Clean Water Partnership Project correspondence to the Project Representative and shall consider correspondence from and action on the part of the Project Representative as representations and actions taken by the City Council. 0 • L1 • CITY of ORONO RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL NO. 3035 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City of Orono, that the Project Representative designated above is hereby authorized to submit to the MPCA a Clean Water Partnership Phase II Project Implementation Grant Application for the Long Lake Implementation Project.
