Dear Mr. Narr:
I am writing in regards for your request for a certificate of occupancy for 507 Ferndale
Road. I did receive the soils report for the front stoop area. I had previously asked for
that report over one year ago. The two main issues that must be resolved before even a
temporary occupancy can be given are, the front steps were not in compliance and the
egress window"well" retaining wall exceeded 44 inches in height.
For a certificate of occupancy can be issued the front steps cannot exceed 3/8" difference
from the tallest tread riser to the smallest tread riser and the egress retaining wall cannot
exceed 44 inches in height at any point or a ladder (fixed) must be provided. The final
grade and sod can be done at a later date for a final occupancy. Please call for a re-
inspection when the above two issues have been re-solved.
