'The installer and I then performed a site inspection and determined that the clrainficid trenches west of the drop boxes are not level, but run downhill. Because the trenclies are not level, the effluent overlo�ds this end of the system before the remaind�r of thc system is rarely used. Most of the discharge is occurring on the second and third trenc}ies. Tc� alleviate the clischarge, 8 to 16 inches of fill was added to the west end of the drainfield. rI'wo of the drainfield laterals will be capped to allow the new soil to settle before that area of the system is used. These changes should atlow the system to function properly with no higher risk of failure than other systems in the City.
