Christine,
I performed a site inspection regarding the Asbuilt Survey for 1535 Fairview Cottage Lane today. Following are my
comments for City consideration:
1. Bare soil is present on the southwest side of the house. It appears that they ran short of sod installation prior to
winter weather. This area should be stabilized with vegetation prior to final approval.
2. The green area adjacent to the road and driveway appears to have been disturbed/ rutted due to construction
traffic. This area should be restored prior to final approval.
This additional work will need to be performed in the spring as weather allows. If you have any questions or comments,
please contact me to discuss.
Thanks,
Robert E. Bean,Jr, P.E.

The area of bare soil is approximately 300-400 square feet. All other work looked acceptable.

How big an area was missing sod again?
All the other grading and improvements were in and looked fine though?

Christine,
The bare area is surrounded by grass with minimal runoff potential and the rutted area is generally covered with mulch,
so I don't think any erosion control measures are necessary at this time.

Hi Bob,
Does the exposed areas need to be stabilized during the winter with silt fence, or something until vegetation can be
established?

Hi Christine,
We had our final inspection yesterday at the subject address and the inspector said the city office has not approved the
"as built grading plan". But I know we got notice from you that it was approved. Can you help me with this issue?
