MINUTES OF THE ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING Monday, May 9, 2005 • 7:00 o'clock ck p.m. r1 LJ • ROLL CALL The Council met on the above mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor Barbara Peterson, Council Members Jim Murphy, Jim White, and Lili McMillan; City Attorney Thomas Barrett; Representing staff were City Administrator Ron Moorse, Planning Director Mike Gaffron, Planner Melanie Curtis, Engineer Tom Kellogg, and Recorder Jackie Young. Council Member Bob Sansevere arrived at 7:03 p.m. Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.. CONSENT AGENDA 1. APPROVE /AMEND Items 11, 12, 13, and 14 were added to the Consent Agenda at the request of the Applicant. McMillan moved, Peterson seconded, to approve VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. APPROVAL OF MINUTES *2. REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF McMillan moved, Peterson seconded, to approve of April 25, 2005, as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 5, PARK COMMISSION COMMENTS — JEFF followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. . Item No. 10 was removed,from the Consent Consent Agenda as amended. 25, 2005 minutes of the Regular City Council meeting g0. OM, REPRESENTATIVE Soderstrom addressed the City Council regarding the year -end Park Dedication Fund report, noting that a $40,000 loan is still outstanding from the General Fund. Soderstrom stated the intended parkland near the new fire station would never be used as a park, and requested that the loan be erased. Peterson stated this item was discussed at the Council's work session and that the Council would inform the Park Commission of the Council's decision.
