MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
HELD AT 6:10 P.M. ON MONDAY, APRIL 30, 2007
IN THE ORONO COUNCIL CHAMBERS
Roll Call
Members Present: Mayor Jim White and
Murphy, and Dave Rahn.
Staff Present: Ron Moorse, City Admini

Mayor White called the meeting to order at 6:17 p.m.
City Administrator's Report
1. Award of Bid for the West
Replacement Project
e Road Bridge and Fox Street Bridge
The low bidder, whose bid was very substantially below the other bids, has requested to withdraw
their bid, due to several errors in the bid. The City Engineer is recommending that the low bidder
be allowed to withdraw their bid, and that the bid be awarded to the second low bidder, Redstone
Construction, in the amount of $788,488.50. It is the City Engineer's understanding that although
the bid is substantially higher than the Engineer's estimate, additional funding from the State will
limit the City's additional cost to approximately $27,160.50.
