As Spring arrives and everyone is busy raking leaves and cleaning their yards, the City of Orono would
like to remind you that the lake and wetlands are not an allowed dumping site for such material.
City Code Section 78-1608 1(c) states:
Activities inc/uding, but not limited to, building (other than a boardwa/k or dock), paving,
mowing, vegetation removal, filling, dumping, yard waste disposal or fertilizer application are
prohibited...
For your information the City offers Leaf and Grass Disposal at the Public Works building, 2700 Kelley
Parkway, from 9 am to 3 pm on the following days:
May 14th and 15th
May 21 S` and 22nd
May 28ih and 29tn
The City also offers clean-up for appliances and other unwanted items on April 24th from 8 am to 2 pm
and construction debris ONLY on May 1S� from 8 am to 2 pm. All of this information and more can be
found on the City's website at www.ci.orono.mn.us.
