ROLL
The Orono City Council met on the above - mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor
James White, Council Members James Murphy, Cynthia Bremer, Lili McMillan, and Douglas Franchot.
Representing Staff were Finance Director Ron Olson, City Engineer Tom Kellogg, and Recorder Jackie
Young.
Mayor White called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
CONSENT AGENDA
Item Nos. 3 and 4 were added to the Consent Agenda.
Murphy moved, Bremer seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as amended. VOTE: Ayes 5,
Nays 0.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES

• Murphy moved, Bremer seconded, to approve the minutes of the Orono City Council meeting of
September 14, 2009, as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0.
PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS — LOREN SCHOENZEIT, REPRESENTATIVE
Schoenzeit stated he had nothing to report but would be available for questions.

Kellogg reported that an extra crew has been added to work on the Casco Point project in an effort to
complete the work in the near future.

Murphy moved, Bremer seconded, to approve Request for Payment No. 5 for the Casco Point
Reconstruction Project, Geislinger and Sons, Inc., in the amount of $383,222.66. VOTE: Ayes 5,
Nays 0.
*4. DISPOSAL OF POLICE DEPARTMENT SQUAD CAR
Murphy moved, Bremer seconded, to approval the sale of a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria, VIN
#2FABP71W26X142733 through auction at the Minneapolis Auto Auction. VOTE: Ayes 5,
Nays 0.
