Apparently it was left by a previous owner and was used to store waste oil. The City's concern is that the tank will rust out and begin leaking if it hasn't done so already. Also the Orono Municipal Code prohibits above ground fuel storage tanks in your zoning district. The City would appreciate it if you could remove the tank at your eazliest convenience. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at my office. Sincerely, y Lyle Oman Building Official LO/ch cc: Bruce L. Box 66 Orono MN 55356 Re: Oil barrel at 2705 Ethel Avenue Dear Mr. Oman: As per our conservation on the phone, I will have the barrel removed as soon as the frost is in the ground far enough to get a toader in with out destroying the yard. The barrel has been there since I bought the house and is not leaking or a danger yet. It is possib(e it is just full of water. You have my word that it will be removed as soon as possible, when weather makes it feasible. Sincer y,; , Ly Pu-
