I think that was a prudent move. Please confirm that the main floor will remain at the original proposed elevation, and that the basement ceiling height will be reduced. A revised survey with corrected elevations will be needed, and I would request that you contact Building Official Lyle Oman to determine whether he will need revised plan sets submitted. We discussed the concerns Scott Oberaigner brought to us and determined that yes, the basement floor may need to be raised. However the overall height of the home and the elevation of the first floor cannot increase. You have proposed a 9' 11"ceiling height in the basement. This height affords you room to raise the basement floor 1'— 1.5'as needed and still maintain building code height basement headroom. Or you can build the home as permitted and the properly owners have been put on notice about the potential for overflows during power outages. We can talk tomorrow. I am sure Scott has told you but our basemen�floor is lower then the man hole cover at the bottom of the hill.
