Regular r eeting of the Village Council, 7-30 P .D4.
• October 28, 1968
•
• The Village Council met on the above date
with the following members present: Mayor
Ross, Councilmen Butterfield, Franzel,
Searles, and Stubbs.
•
1 Searles moved, Franzel seconded, that the MINUTES
Minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 14,
• 1968, be approved. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0).
•
The following, appeared: F. Boyle concerning
Briar Street. C. Kramer concerning division
• and variance. R. Jay concerning building
permit and variance. P. Van Dusen concerning
• marina license.
•
The Mayor announced that this was the time
PUBLIC HEARING
and the place for a Public Hearing concerning
68LS -1 & 68LW -1
•
the proposed construction of 1968LS -1 and
1968LW -1, an improvement consisting of sanitary
•
sewer laterals (1968LS -1) and water laterals
(1968LW -1). The Village Clerk presented the
Notice of Public Hearing and the Affidavit of
•
Publication and the Certificate of Mailing to
affected property owners. The following
•
appeared: IV. Kelley, A. Thomson, D. Peasley,
T. Halloran, L. Gleason, W. Wear, I. Gunsolus,
and W. Dickey. After all members of the public
present were afforded an opportunity to be heard,
•
the hearing was closed.

Stubbs, moved, Searles seconded; that the
MARINA LICENSE
request of the Wayzata Yacht Club for a club
Big Island

marina on Big Island, subject to acceptable
sanitary facilities, be approved. Motion,
•
Ayes (5) - Nays (0).
•
Franzel moved, Searles seconded, that the BUILDING PERVIT &
request of the Pure Oil Company for a building VARIANCE
• nermit and variance at 3360 Shoreline Drive, 3360 Shoreline Drive
be approved. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0).

• Frarizel moved, Butterfield seconded, that UTILITY PERMITS

• Stubbs moved, Butterfield seconded, that the UTILITY REQUIREMENT
requirement for Minnegasco and others to make
• underground utility crossings of all paved
village streets, with exceptions on order of
• the Village Engineer, be approved. Motion,
Ayes (5) - Nays (0) .

Searles moved, Franzel seconded, that the NOV0TBER 12, 1968
next Regular Meeting of the Village Council MEETING
• be held November 12, 1968. Motion, Ayes (5) -
Nays (0).

• Searles moved, Franzel seconded, that after SUSPENSION
having heard his appeal, the three -day
r suspension of William K. Kearin from the Police
Department, Police Department memo dated
• October 4, 1968, be approved. Motion, Ayes (3) -
Nays (1). Stubbs voting Nay. Butterfield
abstaining.

• Stubbs moved, Searles seconded, that the DIVISION & VARIANCE
request of C. L. Kramer, 120 Orono Orchards 120 Orono Orchards
• Road South, for a division and variance, be Road South
approved. Motion, A;yle3 (5) - Nays (0) .

All Fund Accounts 2948 through 3015 and
Liquor Store Accounts 6439 through 6474,
be paid. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0).
Butterfield moved, Searles seconded, that
the Meeting be adjourned at 11:35 P.A1.
Mo-ion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0).
