Councilman Searles absent. • Franzel moved, Ross seconded, that the MINUTES Minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 23, September 23, 1968 1968, be approved. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0). • Butterfield moved, Franzel seconded, that MINUTES • the Minutes of the Special Adjourned Budget September 30, 1968 • Meeting of September 30, 1968, be approved. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0). • Franzel moved, Ross seconded, that the MINUTES Minutes of the Public Hearing, October 10, October 10, 1968 • 1968, be approved. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0). • • The following appeared: R. Sorenson concerning Chippawa Lane. • The Mayor announced that this was the time PUBLIC HEARING and the place for a Public Hearing on the Street Names • matter of renaming certain streets in the Village of Orono that extend into the Village • of Medina to correspond with the Village of ' Medina street names. The Village Clerk read the Notice of Public Hearing and presented the Affidavit of Publication and the Certificate of Mailing to affected property • owners. No one appearing on -the matter, the Public Hearing was closed. • Franzel moved, Butterfield seconded, that VARIANCE • the request of Dr. Dale Briner, 1760 Shady- 1760 Shadywood Road wood Road., for a front and side yard setback • variance for a garage, be approved. motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0). • • Stubbs moved, Franzel seconded, that the BUILDING PERMIT & request of Robert Day, 2685 Wayzata Boule- VARIANCE vard, for a building permit and a 25 -foot 2685 Wayzata Boulevard rear yard setback variance, be referred to the Planning Commission for review and recommendation. Stubbs moved, Franzel seconded, that Resolution #265, A Resolution Requesting A Hearing By The Minnesota Public Service Commission On The Matter Of The Installation Of Additional Protection At The Great Northern Railroad Mainline Crossing Of Stubbs Bay Road In The Village Of Orono, be adopted. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0). Butterfield moved, Franzel seconded, that Resolution #266, A Resolution Relating To Participation In The Suburban Hennepin County Nursing District, be adopted. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0). M., Monday, October 28, 1968, for EXTENSION OF CONTRACT the construction of plastic covers on the 68SR -1 Digester and Clarifier tanks of the Sewer Treatment Plant, be ordered. Motion, . Ayes (4) - Nays (0). • • Stubbs moved, Butterfield seconded, that COUNCIL RULES the discussion of a proposed Council rule limiting discussion to Agenda items,except by unanimous vote,.to be reviewed at the meeting of October 28, 1968, be approved.
