Chris: On March 2,2013 our survey showed the proposed elevation for the garage at 962.0,top
of foundation at 962.5, basement at 953.8 and the main floor at 964.6 feet. The builder,Tom
Betz felt the dirt would balance better if the house was lowered 2 feet. Our May 27, 2013 survey
reflected that with the proposed garage at 960.00, the top of foundation at 960.5,the basement at
951.8 and the main floor at 962.6 feet.
Evidently,they lowered it a little more as our June 6, 2013 as-built survey showed the top of
foundation at 960.0 feet and the lower level at 951.4 feet. We shot the garage top of foundation
at 961.7 feet but I believe the final garage floor will be about 0.7 down or at 961.0. Thus,they
only lowered the garage by a foot from the originally proposed elevation. This was to facilitate
getting into the house with little or no steps.
