VILLAGE OF ORONO
Regular Meeting of the Village Council,
August 12, 1968
The Village Council met on the above date
with the following members present: Mayor
Ross, Councilmen Searles and Stubbs.
Butterfield late, Franzel absent.

Searles moved, Stubbs seconded, that the
Minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 22,
1968, be approved. Motion, Ayes (3) -
• Nays (0).
•
Searles moved, Butterfield seconded, that
• the Minutes of the Tax Board of Review and
• Special Meeting of July 15- 24 -29, 19689
be approved. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0).
•
The Mayor announced that this was the time
and the place for a Public Hearing on the
• matter of amending the Land Reclamation
Ordinance. The following appeared concerning
the matter: J. Schoening, J. Lambin, F.
• Thomas, and L. Geyen. After all persons
were heard, the Public Hearing was closed.
•
• The following appeared: C. Olson concerning
Forest Lake Bridge. M. Rasmussen concerning
• Navarre Inn.
•
• Searles moved, Stubbs seconded, that the
request of George Scherven for a conditional
• use permit for land fill behind the Texaco
Station at Navarre, be referred to the Village
Engineer for review of drainage requirements.
Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0).
Searles moved, Butterfield seconded, that
the request of A. W. Scherven for a
conditional use permit for land fill at
3740 Shoreline Drive, be referred to the
Village Engineer for a review of drainage
• requirements. Potion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0).
Searles moved, Butterfield seconded, that
IS the request of Laurel Geyen for a conditional
use permit to dredge and fill land at 215 -235-
350 -360 North Arm Lane, subject to Engineer's
review of drainage requirements, be approved.
