Regular Meeting of the Village Council, 7:30 P.M.
February 12, 1968
The Village Council met on the above date
• with the following members present: Mayor
Ross, Councilmen Butterfield, Franzel,
and Stubbs. Searles late.

• Stubbs moved, Franzel seconded, that the MINUTES
amended Minutes of the Regular Meeting JANUARY 8, 1968
• of January 8, 1968, be approved. Motion,
Ayes (4) - Nays (0).

Stubbs moved, Butterfield seconded that MINUTES
the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of JANUARY 22, 1968
! January 22, 1968, be approved. Motion,
Ayes (4) - Nays (0).
! The following appeared: W. Odell, J. Myer,
and R. Palmer presented a petition for
the detachment of Allo -Rae Terrace and

Wahlberg appeared concerning street vacation.

1st Addition Plat. C. Peahl and sister
appeared for a Building Permit at 1400

Butterfield moved, Searles seconded, that BILLS
the All Fund Accounts 1539 through 1617
and Liquor Store Accounts 5917 through
• 5960, be paid. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0).

• Council agreed that:
• 1) In order to combat the rising crime rate,
malicious mischief should be a separate item
• on police activity report, a review of
crime activity be made to assist in the
• assignment and determination of manpower needs,
• and qualified outside sources such as the
Sheriff's Office, and Crime Bureau be
• contacted for assistance.
2) Burt Corwin should be advised of Council
agreement in principal with his request in
• platting Mooney Lake Road property and that
final action will depend on receipt of a
• specific platting proposal.
3) At Butterfield's request, it was agreed
the Park Commission should review snow -
mobile control, promotion of golf leagues,
•, school golf, and lake access.
Regarding the proposed Butterfield sub-
division, Searles asked that the Council
apply its standards for dedicated property
for private roads in a uniform manner. We
• should be especially careful not to grant
exceptions to Councilmen or other members
of Orono municipal government that we would
not and have not granted to others.

• Searles moved, Stubbs seconded, that the ADJOURNMENT
Meeting be adjourned at 12:30 A.M.
