Regular Meeting of the Village Council,
,'anua.ry ?2, 1968
• The Village Council met on the above date
• with the following members present: Mayor
Ross, Councilmen Butterfield, Franzel,
• Searles, and Stubbs.
•
The following appeared: Mrs. D. Winton,
• Mrs. P. Wysocky, Messrs. L. Reed and
• G. Hager representing a Citizens
Committee on behalf of a proposal for
• the formation of a Human Rights Commission.
Franzel moved, Searles seconded, that the
• Human Rights proposal presented by the
Citizens Committee be accepted for
• further study by the Village and
• Attorney, the Council being in agreement
with the basic concepts of the Committee
and the Human Rights Commission. Motion,
Ayes (5) - Nays (0) .
• Searles moved Franzel seconded, that the
request of Graydon McCulley for a
• Division at 4605 Watertown Road, be
referred to the Planning Commission for
review and recommendation. Motion,
Ayes (5) - Nays (0).
• Butterfield moved, Searles seconded, that
the low bid of $2,050, with trade, for
a Police Patrol Car, be awarded to
• Scherven Chevrolet Spring Park. Motion,
• Ayes (5) - Nays (05.
• Searles moved, Stubbs seconded, that the
• bid of $3,755 for a Public Service
Radio System, be awarded to Motorola
• Communications, Inc. Minneapolis. Motion,
Ayes (5) - Nays (0).

• Butterfield moved, Searles seconded, that
• the bids, except deleting item 14 -C,
for 1968 Road Materials be awarded to
• low bidders. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0).

Stubbs moved, Butterfield seconded, that
advertisements for bids to be opened at
11:30 A.M., C.S.T., Friday, February 9,
1968, for a Three - quarter Ton Street
Department Pickup Truck, be ordered.
Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0).
ADVERTISEMENT
FOR BIDS
Searles moved, Franzel seconded, that RESOLUTION #220
Resolution #220, A Resolution Approving
Issuance Of Cigarette Licenses For 1968,
be adopted. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0).
Franzel moved, Searles seconded, that REFUND
: a refund of $244.48 to Dr. Elmer 0.
Dahl, for sewer assessment over-
payment, be paid. Motion, Ayes (S) - Nays (0).
Stubbs moved, Butterfield seconded, that BILLS
the All Fund Accounts 1472 through 1538
and Liquor Store Account 5898 through
5916, be paid. Motion, Ayes (S) - Nays (0).

Butterfield requested that steps be
taken to bring Orono Orchard bridge
up to standard.
Searles moved, Stubbs seconded, that the ADJOURNMENT
Meeting be adjourned at 11 :30 P.M.
