A RESOLIITION ESTABLISHING A �
- CONNECTION CHARGE
LIFT STATION #10 BY—PASS
WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation
existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota, and
WHEREAS, the City of Orono owns, operates and maintains
Lift Station #10, and
WHEREAS, Lift Station �10 is at an age that complete
renovation or replacement is necessary, and
WH$REAS, due to the construction and upgrading of the
current Orono/Minnetonka Beach interceptor by the Metropolitan
Waste Control Commission, the City of Orono is given the
opportunity to replace Lift Station #10 with a gravity line, and
• WHEREAS, the construction of the gravity line will allow
for the current and future increased capacity to reduce the
overflows of domestic sewage upstream into Lake Minnetonka, and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that properties that have not
been served in the past but will be served in the future should
pay for the upgrade of the system.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that a connection charge .
be establishec7 for the properties upstream from Lift Station #10
that do not already have a service stub or paid for sewer in the
past and that the connection charge shall be $1,971.62 for 1989
and 1990 with a Current Price Index increase each year
thereafter .
Adopted by the Orono City Council on this 14th day of
August, 1989.
