� A RESOLIITION
REMOVING THE RBSTRICTIONS OF THE ODD/EVEN REGIILATIONS ;
EFFECTIV$ SEPTSA'�ER 15, 1989,
BIIT RE-IMPOSING THEM
APRIL 15, 1990
WHEREAS, the City of Orono adopted Ordinance 53, Second
Series, to regulate the outdoor use of water , regardless of �
source; and ;
WHER$AS , on July 25, 1988 , the Council adopted �
Resolution �2479, implementing an odd/even water regulation in
the community regardless of source of water; and �
WHEREAS, the City did such because of significant dry �
condi tions; anc7 -
. WH$REAS, subsequent to those restrictions being put into �
� effect, substantial rains were seen in the area, anc7 with the end :,
of summer , the demand for water is markedly decreased; and

WHEREAS, the City still maintains a concern for its on- ;-
going water resources. C
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RSSOLVED that the City of Orono -
repeals its odd/even outdoor water usage regulations, effective �
September 15, 1989; and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the City re-impose these
regulations on April 15, 1990. . :
