I have enclosed a copy of the City Engineer's report concerning a recent inspection of your
retaining wall and riprap project currently under construction. The report notes a need to
replace a specific section of retaining wall. He also asks that the City be contacted so that he
may make a final inspection of the improvement.

Dear Jeanne,
We have inspected the series of retaining walls and riprap under construction along the
shoreline of Spring Park Bay on the Lear residence at 2525 Dunwoody Avenue. The
erosion control, retaining wall and riprap have been installed in accordance with the
approved plans. The work has not been completed. We should be notified when the work
is finished so that we can do a final inspection. There is one curved section of the wall
��here the lower tier is connected to the middle tier, which has settled. The blocks in this
area should be removed and reinstalled after the base is level and compacted.

Dear Jeanne,
We have inspected the series of retaining walls and riprap under construction along the
shoreline of Spring Park Bay on the Lear residence at 2525 Dunwoody Avenue. The

Dear Mr. I.ear:
I have enclosed a copy of the City Engineer's most recent report concerning your lakeshore
improvements. He specifically notes a steep bank area between two walls that is covered with
a geotextile fabric. He asks you to provide us with information as to how this slope will be
stabilized or how the geotextile fabric will function.
Hopefully, you can begin the process of restoring ground cover to the disturbed area. Please
contact my office if you have any questions pertaining to the engineer's concern regarding this
specific sloped area in the yard.

Dear Jeanne,
We have inspected the series of retaining walls and riprap constructed along the shoreline
of Spring Park Bay on the Lear residence at 2525 Dunwoody Avenue. The wall and riprap
has been installed in accordance with the approved plans and are acceptable. No turf
establishment has been done yet. A type of geotextile fabric has been placed over a steep
slope between two of the walls. It does not appear that this is a seeding blanket. The
applicant should tell us how this slope will be stabilized or how the geotextile fabric will
function.
