The soils on this slte are a clay loam, The seasonally saturated soit, rnottted soil (redox features) were present at a depth of 12" to 22". A pressurized mound system will be installed. The bottam af the treatment area must be located at least 3' above mottled soil. Approval will be needed for the end slope o!the mound to be 90' from the property line. The absorption area will be 25' from the property line. Withoat approval the mound wili only support 4 bedroams. The concrete pad at the east end of the mound Is tocated in the end slope, not in the absorption area of the mound. The pad will need to be removed &, the small pites of sail 8 mixed cancrete. The existing tanks wilf need to be abandoned, pumped 8 fifled with soil & a tank abandonment report completed by a licensed contractor. A pumping chamber will need to he installed to lift the effluent to the treatment area. The power supply 8 switches rnust be located outside the manhole 8 pumping chamber in a weather proof enclosure. A warning devlae must be installed with a light & sound device, this is in case of a pump failure. The manifold & supply line must have back drainage to the pumping chamber. The distribution pipes.shall have their ends capped. Se sure the rock 8 sand fill material are cfean. The sod layer below the entire mounded area must be turned over, just break up the sod. All property lines enust be lacated prior to installation. i I i I I i i I If the tanks have less than 2' of cover, the lids, risers 8 maintenance hole covers must be insulated to a value of R1Q. Cleanouts for each lateral must be insulated & be accessible from finished grade in an irrigation box with a batl valve. Afl neighboring welfs are located greater than 100' away from the proposed treatment area, The existing wel! was abandoned. Keep afl heavy equipment off of the proposed treatment area before and after constructeon. The treatment area should be nnarked off before construction. This design is not valid 8 the system will need to be relocated if failure to protect the sites for new on-site sewage systems. MANAGEMENT PLAN: The tanks need to be maintained at a minimum of 1 tlme every 2 years, check with you pumper to set up a schedule. Systert inspected for areas by owner 8 or Inspector as determined by the local unit of Governrtent. Any other requirements as deterrnined by the local unit of Govrnment. With proper "rnstallation 8 maintenance, th[s system should have no probtem In treating septic effluent effectively. Nothing other than human waste, toilet tlssue, laundry, showers, water softners etc. should be disposed af into the system. Recommend iron fllters be diverted out of the systern. Garbage disposals are not recommended. Excessive amounts of soaps antibacterial soaps, cleaning agents, shower cleaners used every shower 8 chlorine agents may kfll the 6acteria needed to treat septic effluent. Additives are not recommended. Recommend laundering be Itmited to 3 to 4 loads per day. Steven B.
