`�'I�EREAS, Calvary i�lemorial Church (hereinafter "the applicant") is owner of
the propeny ]ocated at 2420 Dumvoady Avenue within the Ciry of Orono (hereinafter "Ciry")
and legally described as follows:
Lot 1, Block 7, Townsite of Langdon Park, Her.nepin County, tilinnesota (hereinafter
"the property"); and
�VHEREAS, the a�,pl:�ant has applied to the Ciry for a variance to Mur.icipal
Zoning Code Section 10.61, Subdivision 2 ;A-3) to allow placement of a siRn 48 s.f. in surface
area where no sigr, �s normally allewed to exceed 12 s.f. per surface, and to allow total site
signa�e of 14� s.f. where the maximum aila�ved site siQna�e would normally be 24 s.f., and a
variance to Section 10.61, Subdivision 2 (C) ro allow the hei�ht of the sign to �e approximately
9' above grade ���here the maximum ailowe� hei�ht o:any sign is normally S' above the average

normally be allo���ed, and grantinR a variance to Section ?0.61, Subdivision 2 (C) to a1_low height
of the sign to be approximately 9' v.�here an 8' hei�ht above ;rade is riormally alloweci, subject
to the following conditions:
l. The existin� temporary baruler si�n advertising the church school shall be
removed upon const�uction of the ne�.� si�n.
2. Applicant shall o'�tain the appropriate buildin� permit prior to placement of the
S1�I1.
3. Auth�rities aranted b}� this vac-iance run with the property not �i�ith the applicant,
� but are permissive only and must be exercised by application for a building
permit within one year of the date of Council approval, or this variance will
expir� on that date (October 10, 199�).
� 4. Violation of or non-compliance with an}' of the terms and conditions of this
� resolution shall constitute a viola[ion of the zoning code, shall automa[ically
terminate any authoriry QC2RIed herein, and sha,1 be punishable as a misdcmeanor.
