RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
NO. 2586
A RESOLUTION OF RECOGNITION
LIEUTENANT GARY CHESWICK
WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation;
and
WHEREAS, the City does take the opportunity to recognize
its outstanding employees; and
WHEREAS, Gary B. Cheswick became a police officer with
the Minnetrista Police Department in October, 1968; and
WHEREAS, Gary B. Cheswick became an Orono Police Officer
in February, 1969; and
WHEREAS, Gary B. Cheswick was promoted to the rank of
Sergeant with the Orono Police Department on March 14, 1983; and
• WHEREAS, Gary B. Cheswick was promoted to the rank of
Lieutenant with the Orono Police Department on October 1, 1986;
and
WHEREAS, Gary B. Cheswick has consistently performed his
duty in an exemplary manner; and
WHEREAS, Gary B: Cheswick has received many
commendations from the Department and letters of support from the
citizens..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orono City
Council recognizes the twenty years of faithful service to the
City and its citizens by this resolution.
Adopted by the Orono City Council on this 13th day of
March, 1989.
