. : . . :':' A RESOLIITION ADOPTING COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT #2
• . . .. WHEREAS, the City. .o.f Orono undertook a study of its
corric3or along Highway 12 in September 1985; and ' `
WHEREAS, this resulted in the development of a propQSed
amendment to the City' s Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, public hearings were conducted on February 2
and February 17, 1987 by the Planning Commission and considered
March 23, 1987, April 27, 1987 and June 22, 1987, meetings by the
.. Council; and
WH$REAS, the City Council gave preliminary approval to
• the amendment at its June 22, 1987 meeting; and '
� • � WHEREAS, the amendment was submitted to the Metropolitan
� Council on November 15, 1987; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council approved the amendment
on May 12, 1988; and
WHEREAS , the City needs the development of the
appropriate zoning ordinance amendments to implement the
amendment.
- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City
Council adopt the Comprehensive Plan �2 for the Highway 12
Corridor conditioned on the adoption of the necessary zoning
amendments to implement the amendment.
