A RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED DESIGN CHANGES
FOR COUNTY ROAD 15
WHEREAS, the City of Orono approved the design plans for
County Road 15 in its Resolution � 1694 dated October 29, 1984,

and
WH�REAS, the plans in order to receive appropriate State
funding required a variance which with one exception was granted
by the Municipal State Aid Review Board , and
WHEREAS, the exception required by them was alteration
in the portion of County 15 between Wilshire Boulevard and
Commerce Boulevard, and .
WHEYtEAS, the volume of traffic in the corridor on County
15 between Lafayette and Interlachen/County 125 is quite heavy
due to the commercial and multiple residential development there,
and • .
• WHE1tEAS , a wider section of bridge and attendant
approaches at Seton Bridge from just east of Seton Bridge to
750 feet west of Bartlett Boulevard in order to allow 2 way
traffic across the bridge during construction particularly public
safety traffic such as Mound Fire to Spring Park, Orono and
Minnetonka Beach, and .
WHEREAS, a widening of the highway would facilitate the
safety of that portion of the road without adversely affecting
the volume of traffic coming into Orono, and
WHEREAS, the County is requesting these approvals prior
to final design plans.
NOW, THEItEFO1tE B� IT R�SOLVED, by the City Counci 1 of
the City of Orono does approve the proposed changes as outlined
subject to the concurrence of the municipalities directly
involved in these alterations to the County 15 development. '
Adopted by the Orono City Council on this 10th day of
November, 1986. '
