Dear Mr. Hoffman:
This letter is regarding the portion of your property that lies within Orono. We require a permit
for the fill that you are bringing onto your property. An over the counter permit can be issued for
up to 500 cubic yards of fill and a conditional Use permit is needed if over 500 cubic yards. You
will need a plan for either case.
Please get this matter taken care of or started by May 6, 2002.

Dear Mr. Hoffman:
This letter is regarding the portion of your property that lies within Orono. This is our last letter
regarding the fill that is being moved on your property. We need you to get a permit with the
City of Orono by May 27, 2002. Lyle Omen from the Orono Building Department will be the
person you will need to contact to obtain the permit. If a permit is not obtained by that date we
will turn this matter over to our legal department.

I am sorry I have not responded faster. My landscape contractor Brian Butte�eld
obtained a permit to create a pond on my property, The dirt in our front yard is fill and
will be used within a few weeks to spread over the yard.
The dirt is from our property and was not brought in from a.nother location_
