We then s�aggested �hat the City assess the prvperty owr►ers �or the pub�ic easement. The City Council in�oxn+�d us �h�t the assessmont proeess is vezy expensa.ve dve ro the regvla- t�.ons requ�ring c�otices, hearings, and other adm3.nistrative xequirements, whinc �ou7.d signi.�zcantly increase the cost per ownoz. The Ciry Cvunefl suggested that I eollect the $315.00 from each p�coperty owner and deliver �the amoun� �hat I collect to the [ity to enable Che City �o pay BurJ.ington Ncrrhern for the easement. Please be advised that �he actUal cost o£ obt�ining and reGordir�g the ea.semen� wilY exceed $2,625.00 due to legal costs, recotding ;Eees and o�tH�r expenses.
