Randy
Our engineer had to unexpectedly leave the office today but before he left I pried some verbal comments out of him on
your revised survey (received today). He indicated that the drainage arrows on the northeast portion of the lot are
pointing incorrectly (up hill) and should be corrected. Also, regarding the retaining walls shown on the plan on the
western side of the lot"to be removed and reinstalled as needed" if the walls are to exceed 4' in height or if tiered
retaining walls are not separated by 2x the height of the wall they will need to be reviewed and signed off by a registered
professional engineer.
Please provide a revised survey correcting the drainage arrows. I can accept digital copies if they contain a digital
signature by the surveyor. Additionally, our building official was out all day today at a class so he has not had a chance
to review the revised building plan information.

Comments from our city engineer are below on 325 Crestview(survey dated November 26):
1. The survey shows a lot of existing items such as a pool, driveway, and multiple retaining walls. What of these
items will remain in place? It would be my opinion, at least the retaining walls would need to be removed and
reinstalled to construct the new home. Please clarify what existing items will be removed and what will remain
in place.
2. The survey does not show proposed contours.
3. The existing driveway will be required to be removed as double access points are not allowed.
4. The proposed driveway is too wide at the road. City Code only allows for a 20' wide access.
5. Need to show erosion control around the property.
Please address the comments and submit a revised survey for our continued review. Additionally the hardcover should be
calculated using the City's forms (attached).

I have reviewed the permit application for a new home located at 325 Crestview and the survey dated November 26 and
have the following comments:
• The survey shows a lot of existing items such as a pool, driveway, and multiple retaining walls. What of these
items will remain in place? It would be my opinion, at least the retaining walls would need to be removed and
reinstalled to construct the new home. Please clarify what existing items will be removed and what will remain
in place.
• The survey does not show proposed contours.
• The existing driveway will be required to be removed as double access points are not allowed.
• The proposed driveway is to wide at the road. City Code only allows for a 20' wide access.
• Need to show erosion control around the property.
