SPECIAL COMMENDATION
� WHEREAS, Peter Achey is a Reserve Officer for the City
of Orono, and
� WHEREAS, on March 29 , 1987 , Officer English requested
assistance at an Orono residence in conducting surveillance for a
possible break-in. Reserve Achey assisted Officer English in
surveillance at the residence in the City of Orono, and
WHE�AS, Peter Achey in conducting this surveillance did
observe the suspect vehicle drive up to the residence under
surveillance, and
WHE�tE3AS, Reserve Peter Achey maintained a calm demeanor
in notifying police dispatch that the suspects hac3 returned to
• the residence, and
WHERI��S, Peter Achey assisted Orono and Wayzata officers
in containing the suspects and assisting in further investigation
into actions taken by those placed into custody, and
WHEREAS, Peter Achey utilized all skills learned within
the Reserve Unit to assist officers in apprehending the suspects
in a professional and safe manner, and
WHEREAS , Peter Achey further assisted with search
warrants for stolen articles from the Orono High School.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Peter Achey be
commended for his professional attitude, dedication and conduct
which allowed the Orono Police Department to successfully pursue
charges against individuals involved.

Minnesota at a regular meeting held July 27, 1987 .
