Dear Lakeshore Property Owner/ Occupant:
With warm weather and boating season right around the corner, the City would like to remind
you that renting residential dock space is not allowed in Orono.
Orono Municipal Code prohibits residential property owners or occupants of residential property
from renting out boat slips at their private docks, regardless if there is a rental "fee" involved.
Attached is our dock rental information sheet on the subject.

As Spring arrives and everyone is busy raking leaves and cleaning their yards, the City of Orono would
like to remind you that the lake and wetlands are not an allowed dumping site for such material.
City Code Section 78-1608 1(c) states:
Activities including, but not limited to, building (other than a boardwalk or dock), paving,
mowing, vegetation removal, filling, dumping, yard waste disposal or fertilizer application are
prohibited...
For your information the City offers Leaf and Grass Disposal at the Public Works building, 2700 Ke�ley
Parkway, from 9 am to 3 pm on the following days:
May 14'h and 15tn
May 21 St and 22nd
May 28th and 29tn
The City also offers clean-up for appliances and other unwanted items on April 24th from 8 am to 2 pm
and construction debris ONLY on May 1St from 8 am to 2 pm. All of this information and more can be
found on the City's website at www.ci.orono.mn.us.
