As Spring arrives and everyone is busy raking leaves and cleaning their yards, the City of Orono would
like to remind you that the lake and wetlands are not an allowed dumping site for such material.
City Code Section 78-1608 1(c) states:
Activities including, but not limited to, building (other than a boardwalk or dock), paving,
mowing, vegetation removal, filling, dumping, yard waste disposa/or fertilizer application are
prohibifed...
For your information the City offers Leaf and Grass Disposal at the Public Works building, 2700 Kelley
Parkway, from 9 am to 3 pm on the following days:
May 14th and 15tn
May 21 St and 22nd
May 28th and 29tn
The City also offers clean-up for appliances and other unwanted items on April 24�h from 8 am to 2 pm
and construction debris ONLY on-May 1S`-fFom & arrt-to�2-pm: �4t1 af this information and more can be
